It Started With a Simple Habit
I love watching news and keeping myself up to date with current affairs. It was already taking my time anyway, so I thought, why not take one more step and distribute this content on social media?
That simple idea turned into Mental Mavens, and eventually, 7 million+ views across platforms.
My Content Strategy
I made sure to either download videos or create my own using pictures, video clips, and my voice. When downloading videos, I always ensured they weren't copyright protected.
Focus on Shorts/Reels Format
My focus was on 9:16 vertical videos (Shorts, Reels, TikToks). I avoided downloading content that was already in that format. But if I found content in regular 16:9 YouTube format and thought I could add value to it, I would download and transform it.
Adding Value with AI Captions
I use TheTabber's AI Caption Creator to add captions and convert videos into 9:16 format. This lets me add a title on top of videos and captions below, adding real value to the content. I try to keep everything under 1 minute when possible.

I also started creating split-screen videos by combining the main clip with gameplay footage. That second visual keeps the video moving and helps tackle today's shorter attention spans, so people watch longer instead of scrolling away in the first few seconds. If you want the exact workflow, I broke it down step by step in my split-screen gameplay guide.

Before I found TheTabber, I was doing all of this in CapCut. And honestly, it was exhausting. I'd edit the video, add captions manually, download it, and then upload to each platform one by one. I was paying $19.99/month for CapCut, and it still took forever.
When I switched to TheTabber, everything changed. I started with the $4.99 plan, and now that I'm managing multiple accounts, I'm on the $14.99 plan. The time and energy I've saved is unreal. Captioning, scheduling, posting to multiple platforms, all in one place.
Why This Works (and Avoids Copyright Issues)
By adding my own contribution to add value to the content and keeping videos under 1 minute, I can easily avoid copyright strikes and stay in good standing with YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Keeping it under 1 minute also helps keep my content engaging and more likely to go viral. It's a win-win situation.
Bulk Scheduling is Essential
I use TheTabber's bulk scheduling feature religiously. If content needs to be published immediately, I do that. Otherwise, I schedule content for several days in advance using TheTabber's recommended posting times.
Repurpose What Works
Here's my secret weapon: if I see content with decent engagement, I repurpose it using TheTabber and post it again after a few weeks. This helps me get more viewers because the content is already validated. Sometimes the reposted content gets way more views than the original.
Note: This only works for evergreen content, not time-sensitive news that's only relevant during a specific period.
